No. It does not cook evenly. You can see in the video some of it is so crispy it’s ready to fall apart while other parts are still raw.

I’ve been doing it like this for years! You can get it crispy as you want it. Be careful it goes from not crispy to crispy really quick in a pot.

Seems that when u fry it it ends up looking like way less. I bake mine on parchment paper w/flour sprinkled on top of each piece. Not much shrinkage
