@thatonemom_0: People really be out here saying, “You’re so lucky your husband helps with the baby.” And I’m just like…He’s a PARENT. That’s literally his job too! He knows our son’s routines, when to feed him, when bath time is, when snack time is—because he’s also a parent. Not a babysitter. Not some occasional helper. A parent. And I get that every situation is different, but if you’re in a two-parent household, why is it considered “lucky” when the other parent actually parents? It’s wild to me that some moms are out here doing everything alone while the other parent is just… there. If your person isn’t stepping up, I’m truly sorry, because that’s not fair. But for the ones who do have a partner at home—parenting should be a shared responsibility.
