To me, even though this layout works for path of travel, it would still be a little weird to have the dinning area right at the entry like this. It feels like it is the middle of everything.

the space meant to be a dining space at my house is also the path of travel *face palm* I probably should look at a round table, but it would have to be smalllllll at some point I should post a video tour of my place just to see reactions to the wtf is going on with that layout 😂😂😂

This is why I think so many of the “open” floorplans of new builds near me are terrible. Lots of square footage, but it’s not as usable as you think

Do I have to consider a path of travel between entrance to my living room and a balcony? It has beautiful views and I like to sit in front of the balcony to watch the scenery. We rarely use the balcony to sit outside. It's quite small and the weather is too cold most of the time.
