During their visit, they recounted their story to him, and he requested that they keep it confidential. He disclosed that after three years, he observed that no action had been taken regarding these individuals. As the reelection period for Buhari approached, he approached him to inquire why no steps had been taken in response to his earlier reports. Buhari informed him that he had summoned Emefiele, who revealed that the amounts he had been reporting to Buhari were insignificant compared to the funds that was given to the former NSA, Dasuki.
