I've had a dog regurgitate feces out of his nose while under anesthesia. When we say NPO prior to surgery, this includes "yard candy". 😬

I wanted to become a vet a few years ago took my cat to be spayed and the vet said "don't do it, trust me don't do it" became a dog trainer instead 😂

I saw this happen when I worked at an ER vet! German shepherd post dystocia and spay, chewed open her incision then into her intestines and part of her liver too! Absolutely horrifying. She lived tho!

we had a post spay come running into our er clinic once. same story but it was her omentum she ate not intestine. vomited it up intact before surgery.

I had a similar experience to that with my guinea pig I got neutered. He chewed his stitches and started eating his intestines. I had to put him to sleep, it was so traumatic:(

as a vet, how would you recommend you should stop a dog fight, especially if only one is trying to ki ll the other... a dog tried to hurt mine and I didn't know what to do (long ago my dog is ok)

One of mine worst episodes was a cat that had undergone a caesarian section and had five large kittens.All went well except when we came to check in the morning and mom had eaten ALL the kittens.
