@adam_frater: Do you train alone? If so, give this style of exercise a try. In my opinion, training alone has one downfall... How do you push yourself when no one is watching? That's why I started doing exercises like this and recording my times. It helps me always be better then the guy I was yesterday. It's me vs me. Instead of the mirror, I look over my progress. When I can see clear strength gains, I get motivated to keep grinding. Give it a shot. If 100 reps is too much, try 50. Or modify the workout, use a resistance band, etc. There's always a way to scale it to your level. Look i dont mean to critic what youre doing i have full respect but have you thought about adjusting your grip? Try rotating your wrist a bit forward so your knuckles point to the sky

50 to 100 is the rep range for calisthenics training. I follow a similar discipline but throw variations in. Eg 100 pull up, some are L-Sit, other wide grip, narrow grip, etc.
