I freeze all types of containers. Besides cooling the contents, I put mine in the refrigerator for a few hours or so before putting it in the freezer.

Cane freeze in both just don’t fill past the shoulders. I’ve canned freezer jam for decades in pint and quart jars with shoulder and never had one crack
