But there are a few things you can do to help your baby use spoons as soon as they are ready to start solids. Rest assured that with time and patience, your baby will pick up this skill eventually. In the meantime, try these tips to help and know that many babies and toddlers take bites with a utensil then ditch it and eat with their hands. This is normal.
