@hopegiselle1: Let me be very clear—I’m not telling people to boycott BET. What I am saying is that folks need to understand where the real issue lies. Paramount, the parent company, is pushing executive orders onto networks like BET that they do not have to follow, but they’re doing it anyway. And the people who are going to suffer the most because of it? Black creatives, Black audiences, and the entire ecosystem of Black media. This is why it’s so important for us to look beyond just the network name and focus on the bigger picture. If we don’t challenge these corporate decisions at the top, we’re going to keep watching our spaces shrink, our stories disappear, and our platforms get gutted while they claim it’s just “business.”
