📍Don Don Shabu Bezemstraat 7, 2512AM Den Haag I heard from this newly opened all you can eat hotpot place from friends, so I ran to try this out! I’ve seen this concept with your own small hotpot a lot in Asia, but this is the first restaurant with this concept in the Netherlands! And also, it’s all you can eat! They have different menu’s, starting from €30 per person (unlimited angus beef, iberico pork, hotpot buffet with greens, noodles, fish balls etc). You can upgrade your menu too (€40 euro per person menu and more) if you want Wagyu! Also vegitarian menu is available from €25 per person. You can choose your soup base, make you own sauce at the saucebar (or at the table with some ingredients) and you get a scoop of icecream (green tea/red bean/sesame) at the end included in the menu. I think the soup choices were not really to my taste, as I really like tomato as a soup base. I took the kimchi soup base, which was quite good at first but then it became quite salty! But maybe the other soup bases were better! I personally thought it would be a japanese kind of taste of the hotpot, as its name is shabu, but I think overall its more a chinese hotpot place. The beef was from quite good quality, so I really liked the angus beef! The assortiment of greens, noodles, hot pot ingredients was okay. Enough for a meal for one. But more ingredients would be even better! This restaurant is inside the ming kee x miu tea shop, so I really liked that I could order the miu tea bubbletea. I loved the signature earl gray milktea!! I really didn’t expect that! It just opened, so you can see it’s in their starting phase, but thats not too big of a problem!
