@ivy_roadmap: Admissions TikTok having a normal one 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️ for anyone who bothered to read all the reports published by Ivy League colleges. They were super clear about why they are going back to requiring the SAT and the reason for that is that test optional admissions has failed. You cannot compare students who went to different high school schools using their high school grades and if you try to do that, what ends up happening is that you admit students were not qualified to attend the elite universities that they get into and those students are the ones who suffer. It really also depende in the situation go the student. I imigrated here to the us and did not know the langueage well enough when it was time to take the SAT

SAT should be required for all schools . If this is not required, don’t require GPAs. It is the most objective way to measure academic ability .
