I'm saddened that guard points are useless in 90% of scenarios now. Used to feel like a nice bit of skill expression but now they're just overshadowed by perfect guards that even GS can do now.

Another tip, is that you can hold down R2 or RT instead of having to hold circle or B during your savage axe slashes, that way in focus mode, you can have your thumb on the stick to still turn and get

smack monster, keep smacking monster until weapon bounce, smack monster again and sword auto charge. press morph, use big axe to smack monster.

pro tip for savage axe mode: you can hold R2/RT during your attacks to proc the multi hit if holding down circle/b is uncomfortable for you

I’ve been playing monster Hunter since mh freedom unite and until wilds I had no interest in the cb it always seemed too complicated. now that I’m using it. It doesn’t feel complicated at all
