Impossible to make friends bc ppl already have their cliches. It’s sketchy every other street you turn down. Food and drinks wayy too expensive for quality. Way too far from the beach.

I was raised in CLT & didn’t love it, moved away for college and I missed CLT so much I came back to live here and met my now fiance. I hate when people hate on CLT bc they don’t know how great it is

I love my city. Born & raised in CLT but it’s very small town to me. I can’t go many places without running into someone I went to high school with lol & everyone knows everything about everyone.

There’s TONS of great things about CLT and I totally don’t hate it. But it does lack culture— still incredibly racially segregated, gentrified out the waz, big SEC-fit-in-vibe. It’s super corporate.

I love charlotte for the setup of the city, southend, my job, stuff to do, my apt, affordability, etc. but hate being far from the ocean and the crime is bad

1/2 Don't hate it. I moved from Chicago proper & the food scene here is NOT it & restaurants close SO early. The "city" is nice, but it's not Chicago - (I know) Love the weather here. It's just hard

I’ve been here too long! I think the food scene is lacking - you can’t eat a full dinner after 9 PM. The really good restaurants are holes in the wall or chains. I think the fashion here is lacking!

The takeout options are largely terrible, the people are rude as hell, and people drive like maniacs. It is affordable though and I think we have a lot of beautiful areas! I also don't like the lack of law enforcement, the roads are in terrible condition, like I have no idea what our tax money goes to lol.
