no adult should touch a child that isn't there own child there are other ways to short thing out hitting children is not the way to goe if it's not your child do not discipline somebody else's child speak to the parents or get the school involved to rectify the situation there is no excuse for hitting a child especially not your own trying to disable somebody else's child not the way to go

Telling a kid to figure out how to deal with a bully is also not supporting your kid. But slapping is also wrong. But the bully was in the wrong to begin with. Bullying is the first wrong.

I CANNOT BELIEVE PEOPLE ARE TRYING TO JUSTIFY THIS DAD HITTING A CHILD! I haven’t seen video, or heard the story other than what you said. BUT, it doesn’t matter! He should be charged with assault! They would be livid if someone slapped THEIR child.

The way I understand it her parents were there and weren't doing anything to control the girl and Gen X here but we grew up with this so I saw the dad from Gen X eyes and didn't see assault.
