@reelingwithrobby: Biggest new fishing rig? Thanks to @TheFishWhisperer for sending me a couple of these gar saver rigs to try out. I was inspired by @Catching Dinosaurs to try the 1/0 live bait hooks 5 years ago and they have allowed me to catch and release more giant fish than I can imagine in that time. It's super exciting to see new conservation based methods emerge that also allow for potentially different hookup ratios. Super pumped to add the gar saver rig to my arsenal as well, as conservation methods are always evolving in the fishing world and I am more than happy to try something that can help us safely catch and release our native dinosaurs while we continue to use methods that are tried and true such as the 1/0 live bait hook method.
