In Kogi West, there is this particular Commander of terrorists known as Dattijo that has taken charge of that portion of the state for less than a year now. There was a time that Kogi state Governor Ododo himself confirmed the arrival of bandits in the state, even at a point schools were asked to close down. These bandits allegedly entered Kogi one night migrating mostly from Zamfara about 83 in numbers on motorcycles carrying two and three people. There was a time security agents alleged to have k!lled the Assistant Commander in one of their operations. Recently, these set of terrorists were alleged to be the group that attempted to abduct school children writing WAEC exam in a community called Iluke Bunu in Kabba Bunu local government area of the state but was promptly repelled by the security forces. Kudos to our security forces. The main story that will get you confused now is that, security forces k!lled the Commander Dattijo in an operation, his members buried him in a particular location and security forces particularly from NSA have gone there with two choppers to exhume the corpse to probably confirm if he was the one through forensic autopsy. This is a country where most of the citizens live below $3 per day which is about (N4,500). Infact a community like Iluke they live below $2 per day. The costs of this operation is huge and forensic autopsy will costs nothing less than one million naria. If it is a government commissioned one like this, nothing less than 3-4million naira. This is a country where a corpse of an innocent person will be picked by the police on the street where Nigeria Police Force is not equipped or funded enough to carry out autopsy for investigation, but a single bandit costs the nation this much. I am now asking, what is the importance of confirmation of a death of a bandit where we have better vital things to spend on as a nation especially where the living innocent ones like us hardly feed? Nigeria is hard to explain.
