Miso Glazed Tofu 😮‍💨🤤 Recipe 👇🏾 Ingredients: 1 block (14-16 oz) Extra firm, Super Firm, or Fava Bean Based tofu 2 tbsp white miso paste 2 tbsp mirin 3 tbsp coconut aminos 1 tbsp maple syrup 1/2 tsp black pepper 1/4 cup warm water Spray Oil (like avocado or olive) Directions: 1. If using extra firm tofu, press the tofu by wrapping the block in clean kitchen towels or paper towels and place a heavy object on top. Let drain for 15-30 minutes. If using super firm or fava bean based tofu, feel free to simply drain the tofu. 2. Make the marinade: Whisk together the miso paste, mirin, coconut aminos, maple syrup, black pepper, and warm water until the miso is fully dissolved. Set aside. 3. Prepare & marinate the tofu: Slice the block into 2-4 equal portions. Score each piece in a cross-hatch pattern about 1/4 inch deep, being careful not to cut all the way through. Place the scored tofu in a shallow container or resealable bag. Pour the marinade over the tofu, ensuring it gets into the scored cuts. Marinate for at least 1 hour (on the counter) or up to 4 hours in the refrigerator. 4. Cook the tofu: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and spray with olive oil. Remove tofu from marinade (reserve the marinade) and add to the baking sheet. Option to pour some of the reserved marinade on over the tofu. Bake 40 minutes, flipping halfway through, and broiling for the last 3-5 minutes 5. Serve hot and with your choice of sides #plantbasedrecipes #tofurecipes #veganprotein #creatorsearchinsights
