at first I was bummed that the answer was to not grow them, but after I spent hours a week trying to combat svb's, I'm down with not growing them and growing these instead haha.

Lol I was so excited for the secret weapon. I was like hell yeah, this weapon will make my zucchini invulnerable! What’s the secret weapon? Don’t grow it. But I’ve heard of wrapping stems in foil.

Tatume squash has served me well. Extremely resistant to SVB caterpillars. Harvest it green, tastes like zucchini. Let it mature, it’s like pumpkin.

I have been able to rescue some squash from borers by really letting them sprawl and root along the stem. When I kill the borer, they can still survive.
