The northern half of Vancouver Island is remote, rugged and otherworldly. It’s a big drive up, but SO worth it! Here’s our must-dos 👇 • Little Huson Caves • Port Alice • Alice Lake Loop (Eternal Fountain, the Vanishing River and the Devil’s Bath) • Port Hardy • Dakota 576 Plane Crash Trail (moderate 4.2-km out-and-back trail) ⚠️ This is a war memorial so please respect it! • Malcolm Island • Grant Bay • San Josef Bay (easy, 8.7 km out-and-back trail). • Scarlet Ibis Pub • Winter Harbour • Raft Cove ⚠️ The roads from Port Hardy to Grant Bay and Cape Scott are down long and very rough logging roads.
