At the time, Thomas dismissed claims that his relationship with Crow was improper, saying that, 'as friends do,' he was merely joining the Crows on 'a number of family trips.' But ProPublica’s newest investigation published Thursday indicates that Thomas’ closeness to right-wing billionaires doesn’t stop with Crow, extending to at least 3 other big money donors: David Sokol, the chairman and CEO of Teton Capital LLC; the late H. Wayne Huizenga, known for owning major companies like Blockbuster, Waste Management Inc., and multiple Florida pro sports franchises; and Paul 'Tony' Novelly, a former oil company owner.
