The reason is most refs will not class it as time wasting unless the ball is back at centre and one team is waiting.

If the ball is free, attacking team is welcome to put it in the centre but it won’t achieve much. If it’s not, just make sure you’re ready ASAP

clock stopped funny it looks like it's moving to me also the only one who should get a card for unsporting behaviour is the keeper shouldn't be allowed to jump on the ball like that at all

I always tell players it is the defebding teams responsibility to take the ball, and if they dont listen and this happens i will hand out yellow for disrespecting the game.

This is exactly what led to my one and only mass confrontation. I even told everyone that I was adding time before the PK was taken to try to avoid this exact situation and it didn’t work.
