Both of my children were harmed in ways no parent should ever have to endure. I would to speak out on their behalf but I understand that it’s not my story to tell. The weight of their suffering crushed me. I stopped making tea. I stopped everything. No income, no rest, no peace. Days blurred into nights as I existed in survival mode, barely eating, barely sleeping. Therapy became my second home, four times a week, just to keep breathing. Doctors handed me prescriptions—to quiet the torment, sleeping pills to force rest, more medication just to wake up and face another day. I was drowning, and there was no shore in sight. I wouldn’t wish that kind of pain on my worst enemy. But God. He met me in my brokenness. He saw me when I couldn’t see myself. And slowly, piece by piece, He began to restore what was lost.
