I Designed It in AutoCAD MEP… Then Watched It Get Fabricated & Installed 🔥 | HVAC Ductwork 1. IT STARTS WITH A DRAWING… Every successful HVAC installation starts with a well-planned design. From duct dimensions and levels to fittings, transitions, clearances, and hanger locations, every detail matters. What looks like a simple line on a CAD screen eventually has to become a real system on site. 2. FROM 3D CAD MODEL TO REAL HVAC DUCTWORK The ductwork is first developed in AutoCAD MEP, where the complete arrangement can be visualized before fabrication begins. Duct sizes, fittings, transitions, offsets, and support locations are coordinated to create a system that can be realistically fabricated and installed. 3. DESIGN THE DUCT — AND DESIGN HOW IT WILL BE SUPPORTED A ductwork design is not complete just because the duct itself is drawn. The support system is part of the installation. Hanger positions, support members, levels, and accessibility must be considered so that what is designed on the screen can actually be supported correctly in the field. 4. THE REAL TEST — CAN IT BE FABRICATED? This is where the drawing meets reality. A good HVAC design must communicate enough information for the fabricator to turn the digital model into physical ductwork. Dimensions, fittings, transitions, joints, and construction details all have to work together before the duct reaches site. 5. FROM CAD MODEL TO FABRICATED STEEL 🔥 What started as a 3D model on the computer is now a real piece of fabricated ductwork. This is one of the most satisfying parts of HVAC engineering — seeing the dimensions, shapes, fittings, and details from the drawing physically come together in steel. 6. DESIGNED → FABRICATED → INSTALLED The final stage is where the design is truly tested. The fabricated ductwork has to fit the intended route, align with the building, work with the available space, and sit correctly on its supports. This is where accurate drafting and proper coordination make a real difference. 7. FROM SCREEN TO SITE — THAT'S HVAC ENGINEERING 🔥 A CAD drawing is only the beginning. The real achievement is seeing that design successfully move through fabrication and become a functioning installation on site. From the first line drawn in AutoCAD MEP to the final duct installed and supported — this is the journey from design to reality. #autocadmep #autocad #HVAC #HVACEngineering #HVACDesign #Ductwork #DuctDesign #DuctFabrication #DuctInstallation #DuctworkDesign #DuctworkFabrication #DuctworkInstallation #MEP #MEPEngineering #MEPDrafting #MEPDesign #MechanicalEngineering #CADDrafting #CADDesign #HVACInstallation #HVACFabrication #DuctHangers #ductsupport #HVACDetailing #hvaclife #fabrication #SheetMetal #Construction #BuildingServices #MechanicalInstallation #SiteEngineering #3DCAD#3DModeling#EngineeringDesign #TechnicalDrawing #kenyantiktok🇰🇪 #Nairobi #EngineeringAfrica #ConstructionKenya#ductwork #AUTOCADMEP #mechanical #hvaclife #MEP #AirConditining #Hvacengineering
