Goku died fighting Cell for you. He loved the earth and its people. Remember his words "I'm Hungry" and "I heard you were strong". Keep those words in your heart. Amen.

konnid00 :
In Germany the makankosappo is called "Höllenspirale" meaning "hellish spiral" and as a piccolo fan I always loved that they kept the original somewhat

I wish the names were translated more accurately but, at the same time a lot of these phrases would sound really clunky in English.

I think there's an argument to make that the "demon" part of demon drill beam wouldn't have made it past the censors back in the 90's.

Tri-beam is not a crazy name since Tien has 3 eyes…

The fact that Tien in the Budokai games has a super move called “Ki-Blast Cannon” and his ultimate movie is still called Tri Beam 💀

I call it a Special Beam Canon because I cannot pronounce the name in Japanese.

I always thought the tri-beam was because of the eyes and never meant he was shooting triangles cuz I could never ignore his third eye. I’d always gravitate towards that odd choice

I've been rewatching Kai recently (I'm in the middle of the Freeza saga) and something confused me, most of the attacks kept there original names, expect the Spirit Bomb. Why only leave some original?

Kaio-sama means “lord of worlds”, and “ken” means fist or punch. So “kaioken” would mean “Fist of the Lord of Worlds”. Basically “King Kai’s fist”.

I think leaving demon in the name would make it sound more powerful also the demon of fire mountain is Gohan's grandpa, so him using it is cool too

In the Viz translation, Makankosappo for some reason is called "Light of Death". Which is funny because I'm pretty sure the rest ot the moves in the manga are just the Japanese names

an interesting fact about Kaioken is that it WAS called "King Kai Fist" but only in the early Budokai games on the PS2

Makankosappo is my favorite move, but after Raditz arc I was confusing it with Masenko, before I searched for it

this is why sub notes is the standard and Dubs should've carried this practice over
