@fromtheashes07: @🇨🇦From the Ashes🇨🇦 As l've said in previous videos, not all of the horses we have get hobbles. It's a case by case situation, but we hobble some because we want to ensure their safety and our own. They are not in pain, or uncomfortable. They can still roll, walk, lay down and be normal horses while hobbled, all it does is slow them down so that they're only a few kms from camp in the mornings, not a days ride. Temporary fences unfortunately don't work at most of the camps because the terrain is too thick to put up a fence big enough or secure enough to hold the amount of horses we have. On the rare occasions we can use one, the ground is severely overgrazed in that area which is damaging to the land. By allowing them to roam and graze, it's healthier for them and the environment. Questions are always welcome, but understand that these horses are not only our livelihoods, and our literal tickets to survival when we're at work, we love them so so dearly. At no point would we do anything to jeopardize their health and safety. And if hobbling is not something you would do, that's 100% fine, I said in the video, it's not a solution for many problems.
