Jack Snyder, 17, saw two younger guys out walking in the bitter cold on the night of February 17, 2023. Jack offered a ride to the two kids. He had no way of knowing the two boys, Justice Chimner, 14, and Dewond Estes, 13, were looking for a car to steal. Chimner, who had stolen a weapon from his mother earlier that day, fatally shot Jack when he refused to give up his car keys. Chimner was sentenced March 3 to at least 35 years in prison after pleading guilty. Estes has also pleaded guilty to carjacking in the case and is serving time in juvenile detention. A third suspect, who police say put the two teens up to the carjacking, is also facing charges. #crimestory #courtcase #sentencing #jacksnyder
