Not to mention that hair type counts, they are different, and Mexican braids are designed for that hair, if I were to get afro braids I would most likely ruin my hair because they are different textur

to mestizos in the comments this also doesn’t give u a excuse to appropriate indigenous communities , many indigenous communities have many various of techniques/symbols in braids & differ hairstyles

Yes it’s in our culture (trenzas)🇲🇽 HOWEVER the techniques, style and materials ARE NOT THE SAME because of the texture difference. Ours aren’t as intricate, they are more simple.
