@abc7la: Yay! A gray fox rescued from the Airport Fire in September 2024 was released back into the wild after 5 months of recovery. The fox was taken to the San Diego Humane Society for treatment. It suffered from severe tissue damage, with second- and third-degree burns covering its paw pads. “His prognosis was uncertain for a long time, but in the end, he overcame his injuries and was able to return home,” the humane society said.
