Today we are back and I am showing how to up-cycle your old tin cans into a decorative and cheap vertical planter for your garden. Before we start I just want to say I’ve included lot more plant, garden and Upcycling tips and tricks in my brand new book, Garden To Save The World. Thank you so much for your support, it has been incredible seeing your response 💚😊. You can get your copy by following my channel description 🌱. I have been looking around at the price of vertical planters as they are one of the best small space gardening kit out there! However, they are so expensive! So I thought why not try to build our own version. Now we have done plastic bottles before, so I thought why not tin cans. Now the bigger the can the better. This is because not only will it allow the roots more room to grow, but also help prevent them from drying out so fast. I highly recommend painting them too. Not only does this look better, but also helps keep the heat down a tad in direct sunlight. You do not have to plant herbs, you can plant whatever small plant you wish, I just love herbs. It’s very important to plant the correct variety as most herbs will actually grow quite large. Chives are great, and so is Aristotle basil, but play around and find what works for you. If you look closely I am using it to hold some of my herb seedlings still in their pots. That way once they are too big, I simply pop them out, pot them on and put a new plant in. By continuing to harvest, you will keep the plants smaller and better suited to this environment. But please make sure to water them most days as it will dry out fast. I hope you are all having a lovely week, and I love you all, Joe 💚 #upcycling #zerowaste #planting #ecotips #Sustainability #gardentips
