Warm up this winter with @Massel Stock & Bouillon 👏🏼 Recipe: serves 6 Prep time: 20 mins Cook time: 6-8 hours 2 tbsp Oil 1kg Chuck Beef, cut into pieces 200g Bacon, diced 1 Large Brown Onion, diced 3 Carrots, roughly chopped 2 tbsp Tomato Paste 1 tbsp Garlic, minced 2 tbsp Plain Flour 750ml Red Wine (Shiraz or Pinot noir) 1 cup Boiling Water 1 tbsp Massel Foods Beef Style Stock Powder 200g Button Mushrooms, whole Approx 10 French Shallot onions, whole 3 Bay Leaves, dried or fresh 4 sprigs Fresh Thyme Fresh parsley to garnish Serve with Mashed Potatoes, rice or crusty bread! METHOD 1. Heat oil in hot pan and add the beef pieces. Once the meat is nicely browned, transfer to a bowl. 2. Add Bacon into the pan, cook for 2 minutes and then add the onions and carrots. 3. Once onions are slightly softened, add tomato paste and garlic. Cook for a further 2 minutes. 4.Stir in flour and combine, add in red wine and allow to come to a simmer. 5. Transfer beef and the red wine sauce into your slow cooker. 6. Combine Massel Foods Beef Style Stock powder with hot water and add into slow cooker along with the button mushrooms and shallot onions. Add the thyme and bay leaves and mix well. 7. Cook on LOW for 7-8 hours or on HIGH for 6-7 hours. You want to cook until the beef is soft and tender. 8.Top with fresh chopped parsley and serve with mashed potatoes, if desired. #Masseltastesbetter #Food #Recipe #ad #stew #easydinner #recipesforyou
