Allaahumma baarik ‘ala Muhammad, Wa ‘ala aali Muhammad, Kamaa baarakta ‘ala Ibraaheem, Wa ‘ala aali Ibraaheem, Innaka hameedum majeed. Translation O Allah, let Your Blessings come upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, as you have blessed Ibrahim and his family. Truly, You are Praiseworthy and Glorious. O Allah, bless Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, as you have blessed Ibrahim and his family. Truly, You are Praiseworthy and Glorious. Benefit NOTE: There are no conditions or requirements to recite Durood after salah; however, it is preferable to invoke blessings on the Prophet ﷺ before any supplication. Narrated Fudalah ibn Ubayd رضي الله عنه : The Messenger of Allah ﷺ heard a person supplicating during prayer. He did not mention the greatness of Allah, nor did he invoke blessings on the Prophet ﷺ. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: He made haste. He then called him and said either to him or to any other person: If any of you prays, he should mention the exaltation of his Lord in the beginning and praise Him; he should then invoke blessings on the Prophet ﷺ; thereafter he should supplicate Allah for anything he wishes. Sunan Abi Dawud 1481 Umar bin Al-Khattab narrated:

Once the Prophet ﷺ came to us and we said, 'O Allah's Messenger ﷺ ! We know how to greet you; but how to send 'Salat' upon you? He said, 'Say: Allahumma Salli ala Muhammadin wa 'ala `Ali Muhammadin, kama sal-laita 'ala all Ibrahima innaka Hamidun Majid. Allahumma barik 'ala Muhammadin wa 'ala all Muhammadin, kama barakta 'ala all Ibrahima, innaka Hamidun Majid."
