Don't fall for these myths like I did 🤦‍♂️ There's just so much misinformation out there that honestly confused me a lot, so here's three fitness myths that I fell for: How to get abs If you’re like me you saved all those 20 minute ab and fat burner circuit workout videos, thinking that’s how you finally will get your six pack, just to do it for a few months and see no change. Sorry to say but we all got clickbaited. Turns out we all have abs, it’s just under a layer of fat. So you need to lose weight to reveal your abs and then pair that with ab workouts to then increase their definition and size. There is a “best workout routine” I’ve seen a million videos by now saying that “this is the best workout routine to look like this” when in fact that’s not true at all. If you want the best workout routine to see the best results, you need a custom routine specific to you, based on your goals. Building the “best workout routine” thus requires a lot of trial and error to fine-tune things like workout volume, intensity, recovery and rest, exercise selection, exercise form, lacking body parts, and overall enjoyment and weekly consistency. How to lose fat on your arms. This was a myth a friend of mine struggling with a few insecurities believed. In reality, there is no way to lose fat in a specific area only (also known as spot reduction). When you lose weight, you lose fat everywhere. So making sure to be in a slightly caloric deficit and adding a bit of cardio would be the move to lose fat on not only your arms, but also your chin, belly, jawline, legs, etc. And honestly, if you’re tired of falling for these myths like i did when i first started working out, check out my 1on1 online coaching where i coach without the BS to get many of yall consistently closer to achieving your fitness goals! #fitnessmotivation #fitnessmyths #gymtips #weightlifting #abs #6pack #weightloss #diettips
