i think it says a lot that Iansan, Kaeya and Xinyan, who were revealed at the start, are the darkest characters in game and that all the Natlan characters look tailored to have darker skin

and for me it was like technically they didn't have to make him tan bc of the region, so it made it seem like they'd be more open to making tan characters, I was fooled 😭
