I've got one from harbor freight (my third one) (get the warranty) (to be fair south Florida marl destroyed the first two... but this last one has done over twenty fence posts and four 12" sono tubes 4'deep, all in clay. yeah it'll break your wrist when you hit a root (I use a Sawzall for roots) .... this is less expensive. Beats the heck out of a post hole digger.

Everyone using this thing in the softest ground. Out of the last 50 holes I’ve dug not one of them was that simple. Y’all don’t understand hard digging if this is what you see

Don’t waste your time. It’s a piece of crud. There’s a reason why it’s so cheap. Customer service will give you the runaround for weeks and then still not return it and offer you 25 bucks to make you go away. It’s out of China so you can forget about trying to file a claim or get your money back.
