Bc that filtration system is garbage. If you don’t wanna do a sponge filter, Get the tetra whisper IQ one. It’s sold everywhere and significantly better.

You have the blue piece on the wrong way lol, the spikes are to grip the filter, also the dial is to reduce water flow I have the same one

also never replace the old filter unless it's falling apart. Your bacteria colony mainly lives there. you should turn off filter and swish it around in tank water in a bucket and put it back

Get a fluval aqua clear. You can diy filter media which will be way better for your tank and it also is completely clear so you’ll know if it’s clogged

Turn the knob on top slowly to change the flow, if that doesn’t work, unplug it, empty it out and lift the tube piece out. Sometimes stuff gets stuck in there

Ditch the replaceable filter pads and get some coarse filter foam,bio media, and fine filter floss put them all in, in that order and you’ll have a great filtration system.

those filters are meant for small particles so they get clogged fast. I would switch to a sponge for flow and good bacteria growth

That’s topfin for ya, I’d lower the flow rate for now then later add a better filter like fluval or hygger and remove the topfin one once the new one is established.

Take everything out except the blue piece, and try it. my suggestion with these filters is to stop using the cartridges. Instead put in filter -floss or poly-fill.

Idk if anyone said this already but if your hob is filling up the impeller. Usually needs to be cleaned off, if it doesn’t stop after that then it’s usually toast
