@stoneinthe0cean: This is called a PAIN CRISIS 😢 It is when my chronic pain escalates into extreme pain quickly and all my pain medication does not work. This means something else is very wrong. Ct scans show swollen kidneys and not draining properly from another cause. Pallative Care Doctors and Nurses gave me two sub cuts into my thighs, one administering 24/7 Hydromorphone, the other a quick acting opiod dexamethasone on request when pain is out of control. I’m already on Fentanyl Patches 24/7 continuous pain relief, Fentanyl sublingual for fast acting pain relief and Oxycodone. All in high dosages. Finally tonight after three days in hospital, my pain has settled and is more bearable.
