The seats in the car were originally designed for the european market, as top tethers aren’t used for child seats (due to different design approach to achieve the same safety).

I would think it would be because of the way European carseats tether. When RF they tether to the seat in front of them, and don't tether when FF at all.

You shouldn’t be moving that seat to get to the third row with a car seat in it because that messes with the install and you would have to uninstall and reinstall every time

Use the seatbelt instead of the tether? Lol. From what our carseat techs at work say, a seatbelt is safer anyways. They are meant to withstand an adult. Most tethers are way less

I’ve noticed some design flaws in the x7 with the third row rubbing the leather off when lowering the electric seats back down. Love bmw, but the new ones are way different than their old models:/

As a BMW driver I hate the car. The lack of common sense that has been put into this car is mind-boggling! On top of that the price is crazy for being so plain and simple.

its also going to be impossible to slide forward when you have to install with a seat belt. lower anchors have weight limits. sliding seats should always have seat mounted retractors 😩

Honda CRV has a flip flopped belt that doesn’t allow you to safely use the 2nd row drivers side and center belts at the same time. When will car designers take kids and car seats into concideration

It was horrible!!! Our oldest had to squeeze around and between little brother and sister to get in the back seat. We had our X7 1 year and went back to our Yukon XL Denali
