Is “sluggish cognitive tempo” an actual term in psychology? Is this inattentive-type ADHD or something different?

I have been diagnosed with sluggish cognitive tempo and medicated with stimulants for over 2 years. Vyvanse has been the best thing for me because it helps me keep on track and gives me the small push that I need to get over the “invisible wall” when it comes to starting & completing tasks. It took over 4 years to get diagnosed and medicated as a young women, especially because my lack of focus was viewed as a symptom of depression, when in reality I was unhappy because I couldn’t make myself do stuff that I knew I could do. I am at university now studying veterinary medicine (which I never thought was even possible when I was in high school), and I love my medication. The only thing I have found is that my processing speed is still slow, but vyvance doesn’t really fix that anyway. My university has managed this well by giving me extra time in exams, more than people who have a “normal” ADHD diagnosis, because I read slowly. I’ve found I can process the thoughts in my head quickly, but written and verbal instructions are still something that take longer to process than most people.

I think its more device based development in very young children is very important and now where seeing the repercussions of babies watching phones and tablets from almost brith there's a big pattern developing in generation disorders genz has the highest levels of social anxiety ever and gen alpha is gearing up to be worse and both had devices but due to educational systems embracing digital learning gen alpha has not had to face key social marks in growing up and forgetting about the human factors has put us in this situation if you don't know how to react to another person its going to cause anxiety when all you have experienced is screens real life is going to be overwhelming the actual programming being watched or popular to these children should have been a red flag sitting quietly and simple comprehension or even system logic is going to be hard im afraid if we don't stop the device's used in school and start putting age restrictions on digital media and device we might end up with a generation of agoraphobics who cant comprehend simple tasks and with these disorders they have a couple cause chemical imbalance, trauma and learned and with the programing be seen by even our youngest children being so abstract we can not know what we will be dealing with in our future and the children will not be ready or able to take over for the older generations

I wish the word sluggish was changed to something with a less negative connotation but that’s just a personal sensitivity lol

This is my child and I. It can be so frustrating and people can be so rude about it and treat us as if we aren’t smart
