Lake George is a dump. Lake is great. Town looks like amusement park. Try Bolton landing up the road.

Jim Thorpe is really cute, but run down. The shops aren't good... one smelled of mold so bad! The hotel that looks like New Orleans is dated but the staff was great. The restaurant/bar below is nice.

St Michael’s is amazing. Inn at Perry Cabin is classy. Stayed there years ago before they jacked up the prices.
