@gabbituft: Which cold brew coffee is the best? - We hit Whole Foods to find the best cold brew coffee for you and I was shocked at the sugar content in almost every one! - These ready to drink coffee mixes are, for the most part, coffee, sugar, and seed oils. - With all of the healthy sugar substitutes available now (stevia, monkfruit, and Allulose) you’d hope that food companies would gravitate towards these options. - However, cane sugar is cheap and addictive, and companies know this. - While Pop & Bottle’s cold brew was the healthiest based on ingredients and it was our hopeful, it still didn’t have the taste that we were hoping for. - Note: while dates don’t typically spike blood sugar, Britt is T2 diabetic with a constant glucose monitor and dates actually DO cause a significant rise in her blood sugar.
