I almost fell over myself seeing a pack of 6 mangoes at Woolies for R98.99. Make it make sense how crazy expensive food is in this country. Other retailers also have their days of overpricing…

One thing I've realised about Woolies fruits and veg, they last longer in the fridge...I dont know why, maybe that might be the reason.

For me, it's the difference between 1st grade and 2cnd grade. I found that the produce I get from Woolies lasts in the fridge twice as long as when bought elsewhere.

Tired of Woolies - and all the other stores actually - because they are literally stealing our money with sub-standard fresh produce.

What is the difference between blood orange and grapefruit? Cause I have grapefruit trees at home and these look like grapefruit. Or is it a case of chips and fries?

In my opinion: it’s not the product, it’s the “higher Income” people that shop at Woolworths. Eg: Spar in Constantia is “slightly” more expensive than Spar in Benoni….
