Last night felt like one of those full-circle moments you don’t even dare to dream about. ☁️ I got to meet one of my favorite bands, Melrose Avenue and not just meet them, but tell them that their music helped inspire my rockstar romance. I got to thank them for creating something so beautiful it became part of my story. 🎶 There’s something sacred about the emo scene. It’s more than music—it’s a refuge. A place where pain is understood, where you’re allowed to feel everything, loudly and without apology, and somehow walk away feeling less alone. That sense of connection, of belonging, is woven into every page of Through the Storm. 🥀 I found Melrose Avenue right as I began writing this book, and the moment I heard Through Hell I knew several things: 1.	they were about to become a staple in my life 2.	this song would live at the very heart of the playlist 3.	it would help shape my frontman MMC Elias Because Elias is that song. He’s the aftermath. The survival. The quiet, daily fight to keep his head above water when the past keeps trying to pull him under. And the sound, the emotion, the rawness of Melrose Avenue? It mirrors Atlas Obsidian in ways that still give me chills. (And yes… I may have borrowed a little visual inspiration from Vlado Saric, for entirely obvious reasons 🤭) To Vlado, Mitchell, Jed, & Shawn—thank you. For your honesty. For your art. For putting something into the world that makes people feel seen in their brokenness, their grief, their healing. I promise you, I’m not the only one you’ve reached. ❤️‍🩹 Moments like this remind me why I write in the first place. 💜 @Melrose Avenue @Melrose Avenue (I also got to be the real life Ramona and photograph the show as well 📸) shout out to @Taylor | Nashville Life for coming along for the ride 🤘 #emo #melroseavenue #concert #romance #rockstarromance
