Basically London to Birmingham is much nicer by Chiltern than Avanti despite being slower.

I’m amazed you have not released a book yet. It would be a top seller.

Rare Rory L, imo. A vast majority of people want to take the fastest route. The real innovation here would be picking the ACTUAL fastest route, i.e. avoiding frequently delayed services

What do "the people who know" actually know which makes them want to take the so-called canny route?

very few routes that'd make a difference on for trains. now for walking directions that'd be great. show me where to add a 30min walk into my commute that passes a nice park or a great indy café, say

I felt the same about couriers. next day delivery 48-hour delivery but never it's going to take a really long time. but your thing is very heavy and we will do it very cheap

Drives me crazy my sat nav changing route because I’ve picked the slower route… it’s an easier drive!

Tell me which route has the least passengers. I used to do a route into and out of London every day, but god did I learn which trains on it would be rammed.

For a university project I designed a tube ticket machine that advised route based on congestion to improve journey satisfaction not speed.

The Brit Rail pass should be annual, not max of 1 month @£600++ Make it countrywide, off peak only 4 seniors. under £2500. Currently price prohibitive. Companies missing out. Carriages empty daytimes

Yahoo (I know) was working on a gps app years and years ago that was focusing on an option for enjoyment. But it ended up not getting to market before the company started falling apart.

I disagree. Before apps, if you wanted a scenic or cheaper route you'd have to do all the research using timetable books and fares manuals. You can still do this online and it's so much easier.
