It started at 2:45 p.m. when a State Police Trooper spotted a vehicle with Virginia plates on I-290 East. It matched a BOLO alert. Police say the driver, later identified as Anderson, failed to stop and took off at high speed, dodging traffic and even speeding down the breakdown lane. For safety, troopers had to back off, but the pursuit continued across I-495 North and into Middlesex County. Despite stop sticks being deployed and an Airwing tracking the vehicle, police say Anderson kept going, driving erratically, and eventually pulled into a parking lot. He tried to run away, but officers tracked him down in a wooded area and arrested him after a brief foot chase.
