this was something our parish preist taught us. When we make the Sign of the Cross, we pray: “In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.” This gesture is deeply symbolic. As we touch our forehead, head and shoulders, we are reminded of the great commandment found in Deu-6:5 “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your strength.” We touch our forhead to symbolize loving God with all our mind.We touch our heart to signify loving Him with all our soul We touch our shoulders to express loving Him with all oour might.
