In 1963 they were asked to jump from transport planes to fight the enemy. they said they would on the conditions of: the plane fly no higher than 100 feet, the plane flies slow and the ground is soft. when they were told the plane couldn't fly that low as the parachutes wouldn't deploy in time the Ghurka officer said "that's alright then, we'll jump. You didn't tell us we would have parachutes".
