any trick to have more control on the mid air part of the insect glaive, cause I see these guys in gog hunts that just be up in the air 90% of the time and I don't understand they can be so accurate and how they are in the air so much when I can't even stay longer than 2 air hops

I've been using 7 years proceeds to give the most basic tips ever and then says you never want to be on the ground when it has some of the highest dps on ground

the colors correspond to what they give you red is attack and it's whatever the monster uses to attack. white is movement which is what moves the monster. orange is defense and is usually the body

For anyone having issues with focus mode, you can set it to toggle instead of hold. Most of the time you want to stay in focus mode as an IG user so it helps to leave it toggled as needed.

You forgot you can charge the way to send the kinsect, it's faster and it pierces the monster. If you aim well, you can get all buffs in one go without wound. Works well for jin ahead.

Coming from an Insect Glaive user, Damage on ground, aerial is for dodging and grapples and aura farming only

I’ve gotten to a point where I can constantly rotate from full buff to the expending attack, open wounds, pull full buff and rinse and repeat until it dies. It’s quick and efficient and staggers a lot

Remember, you can use the ultimate move from the sky too, once you rise back up you can go straight for focus strike or continue aerial strikes to mount or get near wounds.
