A lot of Lao food masquerade as thai food. Laap, thum mak hoong (thai rename it som thum) now they are taking nam khao and giving it a new name (yum nam khao) etc…there’s more

the noodles in khao piak are made with rice flour and tapioca starch 🫶 udon noodles are made with wheat flour instead! but they do have a similar vibe and texture hehe
