My cardiologist said the same thing. He did a “poor man’s tilt table” test on me and diagnosed me right there in the office.

I was dx without a tilt table, I did it later TO DO OTHER AUTONOMIC TESTING WITH IT bc the autonomic neurologist I wanted to see required it. I tried to get autonomic testing done at Cleveland clinic but they refused and wouldn’t do anything unless I had a tilt table done to rule out orthostatic hypotension. I have hyperadrenergic POTS, my BP rises when I stand 🙄 tilt tables are just more sensitive and will catch more cases, but if you meet the criteria with a poor man’s tilt then you don’t need it

i was diagnosed without one but to get treatment at stanford they required i get one anyways it was AWFUL but they are the only clinic in norcal

My tilt table test literally gave me PTSD and I couldn’t leave my house out of fear for months after. I was only 13☠️still get nightmares and flashbacks of it now 5 years later

This. My doctor was about to diagnose me on the spot until she remembered the tilt table test existed and i was devastated. Now having to come off all my meds in preperation as they dont takeaccount 1

tilt table test was the most uberable traumatizing ten minutes of my life and I've broken my collar bone and had two surgeries. They refused to stop when I begged them to.

Cardiologist refused to dx me cause i was one number under the threshold, even though i go over it constantly. It’s so frustrating cause they can’t add it to my record and i have to re-explain it.

they did the nasa lean test for me after i failed my tilt table turns out my blood pressure dropped so low that computer couldn’t read it when i did my tilt table. the nasa lean test was pretty difficult but we were able to get my dx from it and i didn’t have to do the whole 10 mins!! just for anyone looking for options

I just got one done today and I was already diagnosed with orthostatic intolerance when I was a peds patient and the tilt table test said that I didn't have it Idk which to believe

my pots was diagnosed by genetics and then confirmed by an event monitor catching tachy with exercise / symptoms! that was it. sometimes refusing some tests is better lol

Yes! Love to see more Dr’s move to orthostatic stand tests and away from tilt table tests! TTT’s are actual t0rture and stand tests can give the same info

I did autonomic testing in boston and they did use a tilt but only 45 degrees with no interventions and stopped it when I felt awful. It did 0 to change my quality of life and treatment plan.

I tried so hard for them the diagnose me without the test after 10 years I finally got them to order a tilt table and its costing me 1300

I already have my diagnosis but have an order in for the tilt table test that I have been debating getting, especially for evidence regarding SSI. But honestly not sure if I'll end up getting it
