Why did you marry me if you still love her? Why did you lie to me? Every time you told me you loved me and cared about me, was she the one you were thinking about?" you sighed, your voice cracking with sadness. "Why did you make me believe that you loved me all this time?" "No, I never led you on. I truly care about you. I love you, but not in the way you think," he explained. "Then why did you do this to me?" you asked, confused and hurt. "Actually, I didn't want to do this to you, but I couldn't refuse your parents," he said. You furrowed your brows, completely lost. "My parents? What does this have to do with them?" you asked, bewildered. "They're the reason I married you. They begged me to because they were worried about you, especially after what you went through. They wanted you to be happy and they thought I was the one who could make that happen. They begged me to marry you. I was worried about you too, so I decided to break up with her for you, even though I loved her dearly. I did all of this for you," he confessed, tears rolling down his cheeks. You were speechless, stunned by his confession. Seeing him cry in front of you shattered your heart. He had sacrificed so much for you, proving just how much he cared. He gave up his own happiness for yours. A wave of guilt washed over you. You walked over to him and gently wiped away his tears. He looked up at you, and you offered him a soft smile, pulling him into a hug. "I'm sorry. I'm sorry you had to go through all of this. I'm so sorry I took away your happiness. I'm sorry for being a burden on you. I'm sorry for everything I've done," you apologized, your voice trembling. "Y/n..." he whispered, his voice laced with heartache. "You can go now. You've fulfilled your responsibility to me. You made me happy, more than you can ever imagine. I think it's time for me to return the favor. Go and be happy. You deserve to be happy, just like you made me happy," you said, releasing him from the hug and taking his hands. You gave him a warm smile. "I'm setting you free," you said. "But Y/n, what about you? Who will take care of you?" he asked, his voice filled with concern. "Don't worry about me. I can take care of myself. And if you're worried I'll be sad, don't be. I'll be happier seeing you happy.
